2 Days left!
2 days left of summer! The girls had "Meet the Teacher Night" last night. Kelsey and Taylor both were lucky and have awesome teachers. This is a picture of them in front of the school. I am so excited if you could not tell!!!

A Hairy Scary Situation!!
On Friday, I took Kelsey and Taylor to see Miranda - THE best hair person EVER! Both got their hair cuts and now look presentable after a long summer of the "heathen" look. Kelsey looks so grown up. Now the scary part. While Taylor was standing to get her hair cut, she must have locked her knees and almost passed out. She turned pale and green, sweaty, and sick to her stomach. We rushed to bathroom where she threw up and could barely stand. After some cool water and a lollipop for a little sugar - she recovered nicely and was able to finish her hair cut. The mommy adventures to be contiued.....

BOGIE!
I told you there would be more to come concerning the dog sitter... AKA Kelsey Anne Vela! Bogie is with us and we are loving every minute. What a good little guy!! He has yet to sleep with Phil and I, which he usually does. He is now sharing his bed with Kelsey or Taylor. We have been replaced. Kelsey carries him everywhere - poor thing can not get any exercise and Taylor just feeds him doggie treats. If I was guaranteed I would get a dog as good as Bogie.. I would get one for the girls.

The Bee Sting
So, Yesterday morning I was awakened by a horrific cry. Kelsey was outside with Bogie and it actually sounded like a body part had been taken off. Kelsey was getting out of the chair and placed her arm down on a bee. Apparently the bee was not happy and placed his little stinger in her arm. After I calmed her down enough to find out what happened - this is what I found ... pictures below. Her arm started to swell, so being the good nurse I circled and watched for swelling. 5 minutes later, the swelling had increased. Hydrocortisone cream and a benadryl later - all is finally well. I was a little nervous that she would react like Taylor did a few years ago when a wasp stung her in the arm. Needless to say, I now carry an epi pen for Taylor. Aww, the adventures with the girls! To be continued........

Poor Ginger!
While Steve, Trisha, and baby Grace (Oh don't forget baby Claire), were on summer vacation, Kelsey was lucky that she got to care for Ginger. She wants a dog so bad - NOT gonna happen anytime soon. So, any chance to dog sit is good for us because we can give it back. Anyhow, Ginger came with a few warnings - she doesn't like to be carried. Well as you know, Kelsey has a mind of her own. She carried her everywhere and I have to say Ginger was a good sport. Ginger also got a makeover in the Kelsey Vela dog salon that was located in her bathroom. We are dog sitting for Bogie this week - I am sure I will have more pictures to show.

Shopping with ZiZi!
I am now 7 years old!
Summer Festivities!
So, I have alot to catch up with everyone. While I have been mostly working, the girls have been busy. With Taylo's birthday, art lessons with Grandma Anne, Daddy's birthday (will have a special post), summer camp at Aunt Wendy and Uncle Rob's, boating on Canyon Lake, swimming, and dog sitting for Ginger - these girls have barely come up for air. Not to mention the everyday workings of 2 little girls that are full of energy. They have been going to bed late and sleeping in till at least 10am every morning - (NICE FOR ME). What a challenge it will be the first week of school.

Learning Something NEW!!
Hi All.
As if I needed one more thing to do, right?
I have enjoyed reading baby Grace's blog so much that I decided to make one for our family.
We have been busy bees over the summer and now we are FINALLY getting ready to go back to school. I think the girls are more excited than I am ... NOT! Enjoy all the pictures and updates. So much more to come!
